The tools I have designed and shipped. Two of them, CivicQuest Ghana and CivicConnect Ghana, sit at the center of my semester goal: I want the seminar readings on games, learning, and emerging technology to sharpen how I build and study them.
A browser-based civic-education game I designed and built. Players work through everyday scenarios of citizenship in Ghana and learn how governance, rights, and civic responsibility work by playing through them rather than reading about them. This is the case that the digital game-based learning literature speaks to most directly.
A national civic-technology platform that connects citizens with government through community issue reporting, transparency dashboards, regional discussion rooms, and a voice feed for public conversation. It is also the setting for my dissertation, a design-based study of how a civic reporting tool shapes citizens' perceived government accountability.
An online booking platform for Ghana's inter-city public transport. Riders reserve a seat and pay before they travel instead of queueing at the station, which makes trips easier to plan.
A self-paced statistics course that takes learners from zero to job-ready, with lesson modules, quizzes, achievement badges, a completion certificate, an interview-prep section, and a method-selection guide. Built for web and native Android from one codebase.
An interactive dashboard that brings my research data to life, so reviewers and collaborators can explore analyses and visualizations directly in the browser.
